Razzle Dazzle

Tonight my school hosted a variety show of sorts.  I can't really say what it was.  It was fun, it was very Korean and the neighborhood turned out in numbers to enjoy it!

I only saw the second half (my after school nap turned into an after school slumber), but what I did see was entertaining!

By the time I arrived a 3-piece electric string band (performed by tiny ladies in tiny outfits - sorry no pictures) was nearly finished with their act.

After that, there was a magician who did a lot of tricks with scarves and confetti.  He did bring one of my students up on stage; strangely enough this student showed me a magic trick a few weeks back!  He must have known there was an aspiring Houdini in the crowd.

Next was a performance by this guy...

I don't know what to say of his act.  It was cool!  He used the light to corresponded with the music and created a surge of excitement and energy that was... I don't even know!!  It was just cool!

And rounding out the show, true to Korean culture, was a wannabe Kpop group.

They ended the night singing 'Gangnam Style'.  Which if you haven't heard of it I'd be well and truly shocked.
Should you have missed it, here it is for you viewing amusement!
