Today is September 11th.*
It's a mind emptying feeling to think about all that happened on that day and all the days since.
Where we were in life, where we've come since and the little bits that have passed in between.
But for some it all stopped then. And that great loss, that horrible moment is mind-emptying.
I don't have great words like VP Biden, but what I do have is hope. Hope that peace will come to all of those who have lost, suffered, struggled, fought and those who are still fighting. I hope that peace comes to you. I hope that it comes to our nations and - if it were ever possible I hope it will come to - the world.
I hope we all find peace, because it does exist in every language.
*I know I'm one day late on this post, but actually I'm one day ahead. I didn't forget yesterday, but living on this side of the world the ramifications of that day have less of a historic meaning and personal sadness - really a less of any feeling at all. In truth, it seems as if Korea doesn't even remember/know about it. So my post is late because I am choosing to mourn, remember and hope with you back home.
