Highlight Reel

Despite the fact that I did not post anything new this past week, does not mean I didn't intend to post!!
I had my camera phone ready, pics and videos collected; I just didn't close it out with the follow through.
So to not let it go to waste, here's a look at some of the stuff that happened this past week.

There was another typhoon (9/17), Typhoon Sanba.  It battered us with severe winds and pounded most of the country taking out roads and power in its wake.

My 3rd graders were learning about weather (9/18).  Especially fitting with the intense showing from Mother Nature we had just had.

Reading Club started up again (9/20) with the same mini-monster 4th grade boys from first term.  We read 'The Three Little Pigs' to establish a foundation for our first book - "The True Story of the Three Little Pigs".

My 5th graders started discussing "What are you wearing?" (9/19).  We focused first on vocabulary and then transitioned into an art-project-practice-exercise.

^In Korea, a dress that women on any normal day is called a "one-piece" whereas "dress" refers to a fancy gown.  I did a little drawing to help explain the difference.

My 6th graders were pooheads so they did not make this highlight reel.

And that's the highlights from last week at Daepyung English Plaza!!
