What to pack?!

Never having moved to a new country for so long, I've been researching what I should pack.

Most sites weren't too helpful.  EPIK's list of what to pack was most enjoyable!  Here's a few pieces from their list that will be useful to any traveler!

1. An open mind

2. A positive attitude

3. Enthusiasm for teaching and a strong desire to learn

4. A sense of humor

5. Deodorant - is one often-cited item that is rather ubiquitous in most Western countries but scarce in Korea. Summers in Korea can be hot and humid, so if you tend to sweat, it wouldn't hurt to bring a few sticks of your favorite brand of deodorant with you.

Embracing Go

5 months ago I sent off an email that said: Hi, I am very excited to be sending in my materials to be considered for an English teaching position in Korea. That was it.  I attached a few files (picture, data page of my passport, copy of my diploma, and a resume) and now I am 18 days ago from moving to S.Korea.

Almost everyone asks "Why?".  Why'd you choose that?  Why'd you decide to do that? Why did I? Because a friend suggested it.  Currently, too many career paths look interesting, but I'm still just a little unsure of which one's for me.  I love to travel, I like working with kids, I like adventures - why not move to a new country on the other side of the world and teacher English to a group of primary school students and see how it goes!?  Why not!

So now, 5 months later, I'm choosing to embrace Go.

Go towards something new.

Go explore.

Go discover.

Go enjoy.

But mainly… Go!
