For the first day of the new term (9/1) I wore a dress - it was a little short and sleeveless, but I refused to wear leggings and bring a cardigan due to the outrageous heat!
I was a little nervous as I walked into my school, I wasn't sure what comments I was going to receive from this "conversative" culture. What I wasn't expecting was to be greeted first off by my Vice Principal who immediately told me I looked beautiful! Oh. Oh thank you! I passed the first test!
Friday (9/2) I wore black pants and a sleeveless top. Pushing boundaries again! But, I got no comments, not even to say my top was nice. :-/
Today (9/5) I wore a dress again.
VP: Oh, Meagan.. You look so pretty today.
Lunch lady: (motions to my dress, big smile) 아름다운 (beautiful)
Co teacher: Meagan, is there any reason you have started dressing more fashionable?
Me: (blank stare)
So you're saying you don't like my pants? :(
